Mirgul Bolotalieva, entrepreneur and Paralympic athlete, embodies the positive impact of inclusive finance: it unleashes the potential of those who dream of surpassing themselves. Thanks to a loan from Oxus Kyrgyzstan, a Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation’s partner since 2017, Mirgul was able to set up Clothing Master, an innovative sewing workshop in Bishkek. This initial funding enabled her to finance modern equipment and transform her business into a flourishing enterprise, doubling its capacity and hiring people with disabilities.
The microloan was also a motivating catalyst for Mirgul, who, in addition to entrepreneurship, chose to become a Paralympic weightlifter. In just four years, she managed to represent her country at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, reaching the final. This journey, fuelled by access to finance and determination, proves that microcredit offers much more than financial assistance: it inspires confidence, supports personal ambitions and opens up lasting prospects.
Mirgul Bolotalieva’s inspiring story shows that inclusive finance and entrepreneurship can transform lives by creating real opportunities. Supported by Oxus Kyrgyzstan, she has not only developed her business, but also demonstrated that with the right support, it is possible to take on impressive challenges and shine on the international stage.
