The Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation funds a new microfinance partner in Benin

The Foundation granted a first € 305,000 loan to the Beninese microfinance institution Association des Caisses de Financement à la Base (ACFB) over a three-year period, thus confirming its presence in Benin where it has now four partners.

ACFB is a microfinance institution whose mission is to promote low-income working populations, particularly women, by providing them with quality financial and non-financial services.

The institution offers a wide range of financial services (saving, credit, money transfer) and non-financial services (support through awareness-raising sessions and training), adapted to the needs of communities marginalised and excluded from the traditional financial system. Within its development strategy, the ACFB has been able to integrate the "gender" approach, making it a reference institution for the advancement of women and microenterprise development.

This funding takes place within the framework of the African Facility, a scheme implemented in partnership with the French Development Agency (AFD).
