The SPTF 2017 Annual Meeting
Earlier in June, the Social Performance Task Force (SPTF) welcomed 250 global participants to Mexico City for its 12th Annual Meeting. Spanning four days, the meeting focused on how financial inclusion stakeholders can implement the Universal Standards for SPM.
This year’s meeting focused on client outcomes — defined as a change for clients that is plausibly associated with the financial provider’s services. An Outcomes Working Group meeting discussed Guidelines on Outcomes Management for Financial Service Providers and explored a list of "harmonised social outcome indicators," with the purpose of creating indicators for many common social outcomes. During a plenary session, Measuring and Using Client Outcomes Data, speakers presented the main steps of outcomes management, and showed how providers used and benefitted from client outcomes data.
