The Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation grants a new loan to Hekima in the DRC
The Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation granted a new € 425,000 loan over a three-year period to the microfinance institution Hekima, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Hekima is a microfinance institution that operates in the Kivu regions of Eastern DRC, an area marked by over a decade of war as well as social, economic and institutional collapse. Hekima aims to serve the economically active poor with quality services, giving special attention to female entrepreneurs. Its products are focused on the group lending methodology, which allows for disbursement of loans to clients lacking conventional collateral.
