The Foundation funds KazMicroFinance LLC (KMF) in Kazakhstan
The Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation has granted a €3.3 million loan to the Kazakh MFI KazMicroFinance LLC (KMF) over a three-year period, consolidating its presence in Kazakhstan where it now has two partners.
KMF, who serves rural and urban microentrepreneurs throughout the country, is among the leaders in the Central Asian microfinance sector and the largest MFI in Kazakhstan, in terms of size and outreach. It provides both individual and group solidarity loans, with a focus on women entrepreneurs and inhabitants of remote rural areas. The institution has a dedicated social performance management unit, which collects, monitors and reports on a range of social indicators including client satisfaction and client retention. It was awarded with the Smart Campaign Certificate in April 2015.
