Grameen Trust

Founded in 1989 by Professor Yunus, Grameen Trust uses microcredit as a tool for poverty alleviation and follows the Grameen Bank's approach. It is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that supports and promotes microcredit and social business to fulfill its mission. To this end, it offers, among other things, training and technical assistance for national and international organizations wishing to replicate the Grameen Bank initiatives.

To date, Grameen Trust supports around 160 partner organizations in over 40 countries that support a total of 12 million people, 93% of whom are women.
